In order to vigorously promote excellent traditional culture, build a shared spiritual home for the Chinese nation, and further stimulate students' patriotic enthusiasm, on the morning of March 30th, our school organized student representatives to go to the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery to carry out the 'Memorial of Revolutionary Martyrs' Tomb Sweeping Activity during the Qingming Festival.
The Origin of Qingming Festival
Qingming Festival, also known as the Spring Outing Festival, Xingqing Festival, March Festival, Ancestral Worship Festival, etc., falls at the transition between mid spring and late spring. The Qingming Festival originates from the ancestral beliefs and spring festival customs of ancient times, and combines both natural and cultural connotations. It is not only a natural solar term, but also a traditional festival.
Sweeping activities
All students were wearing uniform, and the Young Pioneers were wearing red scarves. They lined up neatly under the organization of the school's moral education and safety departments and arrived at the Martyrs Cemetery in Huadu District.
The sacrificial ceremony kicked off with the announcement of the host. In a solemn atmosphere, classmates sang the national anthem of the People's Republic of China.
Subsequently, the two directors of the school's moral education department, Cao Yuxia and safety department, Zhang Yongqiang, gave speeches in front of the martyr monument, hoping that all participants in the memorial service would pay tribute to the great achievements of the martyrs, inherit the revolutionary spirit, and prove it with practical actions!
Under the guidance of the teacher, the team members gently walked to the martyr's tomb to offer their white flowers to the most respected person in their hearts - the glorious revolutionary martyrs, and bowed deeply.
All teachers and students observed a minute of silence in front of the martyr's tomb.
Subsequently, student representatives spoke at the tomb and led all students to take an oath, paying tribute to the martyrs and expressing their determination: 'I inherit the revolutionary will and spirit!'! '
After taking the oath, all teachers and students paid their respects to the monument and visited the Martyrs Cemetery. During the visit, Director Cao also told the children stories of heroic revolution and learned about the advanced deeds of the martyrs.
The students watched the content of the martyr exhibition board on their own, and the heroic deeds of the martyrs deeply moved them.
