On the occasion of the May Day holiday, in order to ensure that your child has a safe and happy holiday, in accordance with the 'Notice on the Arrangement of Some Holidays in 2023' issued by the General Office of the State Council, we hereby notify you of the holiday time and precautions for the May Day holiday in 2023. Let our families and schools work together to do a good job in the supervision and education of your child. The holiday schedule is as follows:
★Holiday period: April 29th to May 3rd, a total of 5 days off
★Return to School Date: May 4th (Thursday)


Parents and friends are requested to arrange their children's holiday life in advance, pay attention to transportation, hygiene, health, food and other safety, and take care of their children to have a safe, healthy and meaningful May Day holiday.
01 Drowning prevention safety


The period from April to November every year is a time of frequent drowning accidents. Accidents caused by drowning cause heavy disasters to the families involved, and the lessons are painful! Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death among primary and secondary school students. In late spring and early summer, the weather gradually becomes hot, and drowning accidents will enter the peak season again. We hope that everyone will enhance their awareness of safety and guardianship, effectively assume their guardianship responsibilities, and strengthen the education and management of children.
02 Prevention of Infectious Diseases

At present, it is the high incidence period of epidemic diseases in spring, coupled with the unpredictable weather. Children should be reminded to add or remove clothes in a timely manner to prevent various infectious diseases such as H1N1, Norovirus, chickenpox, and hand foot mouth disease. Try not to go to densely populated areas during holidays. When going out, be sure to take personal protective measures, wear masks, wash hands frequently, and drink plenty of water.
03 Traffic Safety

We hope that parents will strictly abide by traffic safety laws and regulations when riding motorcycles, electric vehicles, or driving other motor vehicles to carry their children; Jointly educate children to strictly abide by traffic rules and not to ride in vehicles that operate illegally or have safety hazards such as unlicensed, unlicensed, overloaded, and speeding; Do not chase or play on the road; Not looking at your phone or listening to music while walking or cycling; Under the age of twelve, one cannot ride a bicycle, and under the age of sixteen, one cannot ride an electric bike.
04 Food Safety

Educate children to pay attention to food hygiene, maintain a regular diet, and avoid overeating; Maintain personal hygiene, wash hands before meals and after use; Do not purchase expired, spoiled, or odorous food, as well as 'three no' food; Do not drink raw water, do not eat fruits, wild fruits, and food of unknown origin, do not eat high-risk foods such as wild mushrooms, do not buy food sold at unlicensed stalls, and strictly prevent food poisoning.
05 Fire prevention, gas and electricity safety

Parents should avoid charging electric bicycles indoors. Charging should be done outdoors, and the time should not be too long. Charging should not be done overnight. Properly manage various electrical equipment in the home, regularly check for safety hazards such as electrical and gas leaks in household appliances and gas pipelines, and teach children how to use electricity and fire at home, strictly follow usage norms for operation, and prevent safety accidents such as electric shock and gas poisoning. Teach children not to bring fire into the forest, not to play with fire or set off fireworks and firecrackers in the wild.
06 Fraud Prevention and Network Security

Educate children to develop good internet habits, accompany them to outdoor activities, participate in sports and other projects, in order to reduce the attraction of the internet. Educate children on healthy internet usage, green internet usage, civilized internet usage, and limited time internet usage to obtain healthy and beneficial information from the internet. Be cautious when making friends online and avoid meeting with online friends; Do not believe rumors, do not spread rumors. Protect personal and family information (especially ID card, bank card number, address, etc.), avoid taking advantage of small gains, and be cautious of online and telecommunications fraud.
07 Safety precautions for adverse weather conditions

At present, extreme weather, such as high temperature, rainstorm, thunder and lightning, has begun to occur frequently. Children should be educated and guided not to go out during rainstorm and thunder. Thunderstorm weather should be far away from tall buildings and power supply facilities, rivers, ponds, reservoirs and other dangerous areas, to prevent floods, lightning strikes, mud rock flows or landslides.
08 Psychological Health and Safety

Pay more attention to children's emotions, communicate with them more, understand and tolerate them more, and smile at them more. Teach children to try their best to solve problems on their own and learn to seek advice and help. Teach children to handle grades and setbacks correctly, and remember not to constantly criticize, abuse, scold, and nag them. Avoid simple and rough preaching; Carefully observe the child's behavior and emotional fluctuations, and promptly inform the teacher or provide psychological counseling if any signs of abnormal behavior are detected.
09 Prevention of Bullying and Violence
Parents should strengthen their discipline over their children, demonstrate how to control their emotions, clearly tell them which behaviors are not allowed, and avoid using violence to solve problems. They should also prevent their children from playing online violent games or watching violent movies and TV shows. Encourage and respect children more, and prevent bullying and violent behavior from the source.

3. Health holidays. Spring and summer are seasons with high incidence of various infectious diseases.
